Back to the survey!
In January, after months of what felt like detective work identifying federal ombuds and their respective contact information, CHI invited over 175 federal ombuds offices to participate in the survey (wow!). Participants will answer questions about the standards, practices, functions, and history of their offices, which we will use to build an evidence-based platform to help improve practice and inform policy on the various types of federal ombuds programs.
And, in addition to the survey, we have been working on an in-depth legal analysis, literature review, and taking a deeper dive into a few of the specialty ombuds groups, as we begin working on our report for ACUS – more to come on that soon!
A big thank you (!) to all the individuals who helped us get to this point and a special thank you to the various working groups that allowed us to utilize precious time on their agenda to discuss the project.
If you are a federal ombudsman, and have not received an invitation to complete the survey, please contact Lauren Marx, Project Coordinator at Ombuds@chiResolutions.com.
